This ol girl was the first and only jet I had the privilege and honor to be the DCC (dedicated crew chief) on before I was medically discharged. As a Crew Dawg there is no day greater then the one when your name takes the top slot on the right side of a F15! I was DCC on her and from 2000-2004 and she was one hell of a flyer and received at least 2 high flyer awards in that time! There really are no words to describe the strange bond a Crew Chief and their aircraft have but I can tell you this when I heard from a friend of mine that she had gone to the boneyard it broke my heart and I'm sure it broke the hearts of many others who had the honor of crewing this beautiful old bird!
