I was the crew chief on this jet from 1986-1988. It was the squadron jet, and while the nick name 'beast" was widely used, it was actually a great flyer. I still have a picture I had painted depicting a "demonized" warthog holding a smoking 30mm GAU-8 with "666" painted on the barrels.

I was stationed at Mobility Beach (MB) from '82 to the end of '85 and was an A/R troop. I worked on this jet and distinctly remember stenciled under the trip 6's were the words

This aircraft when I was stationed at Mytle Beach had a crew chief who's first name was Damein and that is what he had painted on the side
