Dedicated crew chief on this aircraft in the early 1980s at Luke AFB AZ (555th TFTS). She was still nearly brand new at the time, and was a great flyer - was given an incentive ride in April 1983, over the Grand Canyon. What a ride!!

In 1999 my then-fiancé located the aircraft at Tyndall AFB and, being pre-9/11 days, we were able to visit the base and aircraft on the flightline. Was awesome seeing her after so long. I later located and contacted the pilot of the incentive flight, retired and living near Tyndall, in 2006. Was nice to reminisce a bit with him about those earlier days.

Was of course sad to see that "8574" had been retired to AMARC, but I will always be proud and honored to have had the opportunity to crew this fine aircraft!
