I work at Lockheed Martin Fort Worth on the F-16 Retrofit Program and I am also an AF Reservist here at NAS JRB Fort Worth (10AF Hdqtrs - AF Reserve). I retire next May 2010 with 26yrs. I recently flew in the back seat of this particular QF-4E on Oct 29th, 2009, at Holloman AFB. Pilot was Det 1, 82nd ATRS Cmdr - Lt Col Brent Gillespie. We were part of a 4-ship mission to the White Sands Missile Range that morning - tactical and evasive maneuvers to avoid Japanese contractors radar lock-on. It was a thrilling ride (1.3hrs) and I won't forget it......dejavu of my days flying in the backseat with the Thunderbird F-4Es as crew chief on # 6, in 1972 and 1973. Contact:
