In early 1981 this aircraft lost the ballest from the nose wheel well which severly damaged the right intake. while the aircraft was waiting depot level maintenance it became an almost permenent fixture in the weapons load training, hanger 6 at RAF Lakenheath. I spent many hours on this aircraft learning to be a weapons loader, and i know i left more than a little blood in the weapons bay learning to load weapons in the bay.
