I was a crew chief in the 2nd Fighter Sq at Tyndall AFB and have crewed this jet on many occasions. It was quite the "hog", meaning it was always leaking, always breaking. It was a very unreliable aircraft in its final days. Still, seeing it take off for the final time, stripped of all its markings, was somewhat sad.
