I pulled the nose gear trunnion pin out with weight on wheels in Phase Dock at Elmendorf AFB in 1984 causing $42.000 Dollars Damage. This was my biggest blunder of my time in the military. On my last day at Elmendorf I had to do a Tow Job from Hangar 15 to the Flight Line and this was the Jet. Sorry Old Girl. Stuff happens when you get complacent and don't follow your T.O.'s

I was a Crew Chief on this aircraft at the 33rd Tactical Fighter Wing, Eglin AFB, Florida, from 1982 - 1985
