I remember this bird fondly because for the engine shop types she was pure magic. afterburner blow-out? no problem drain the traps at eor/last check area and she was in the blue. Came back code one- no problems[for us anyway]. This was at the Heath by the way back early 80's. the crew chief's name was Gary and he did'nt wear his glasses and one nite he marshalled the bird into a lite cart. He was a great chief though and took great care of his bird. I have a f111 model and needless to say its tail number is 449.
