I crewed 242 from 72-75. It was a green tail in the 358th TFS. That acft was the CLEANEST on base! I can substantiate that claim with volumes of complimentary letters and awards !! I left the AF in 1979, have been a Team Leader with Delta Air Lines for 30 years. My 2009 "bucket list" is topped by me re-uniting with this bird. Seeing her serial no. on ths site is like Christmas to me! I enjoyed what some viewed as an irrational relationship to this A7. Most of my fellow crew-chiefs, however, understood, and had great fun with making fun of me and her. I even at one time had a license plate that read A7D-242.
