I was one of her crew chiefs at RAF lakenheath in 1991 while assigned to the 493 FS. She did take a bit of work.

I was the last Crew Chief on this aircraft. I can remember to this day sending it out for its last flight, and not having it return home. It was the Squadren's Flag Ship for the 524. I hope my name is still on the Nose Landing Gear Door!!! It was a sad day to see her go!

I worked on this aircraft while it was assigned to the 48th TFW, 548 AGS, 495 Fighter Squadron, RAF Lakenheath from 1981 - 1983. I was often refered to as "cripple 8" this aircraft seemed to need quite a bit of maintenance to keep it flying. But we kept them flying.
