68-589 was a great flying airplane. Capt Delane Clark and I had our names on that airplane when it was assigned to the 1 TRS at alconbury in the early 1980s. It transfered to Zweibrucken in 1987. Lt John P Powell and I had our names on it from 1989 until it was retired after it flew in Desert Storm.

Tail code "ZR" 26th Tactical Recon. Squadron, Zweibrucken AB, Germany. I was with the 26th TRW Clinic until the base was inactivated in 1991 do to BRAC closures. Some RF4's had the Tail code "ZR" removed prior to departure to AMARC in March and April of 1991.
