I was on another website which indicated that aircraft F-111E 68-0046 was delivered to AMARC AKA The Bone Yard on 12 Aug 93. One year (1989 or 1990) while stationed with the 431 TES McClellan AFB, Ca., I won The Maintenance Support Person Of The Year Award, I was an Aircraft Maintenance Scheduler. And part of the incentive package was that I was allowed to fly aboard one of our aircraft. Lt. Colonel Leger took me up and allowed me to fly the aircraft. We were scheduled to fly for 90 minutes but after 45 minutes we landed, I had had enough, I was afraid of heights and flying. I still have a copy of the debrief statement taken for that particular flight. I thank Lt. Colonel Leger for everything! I had a great time that day and I have a great experience to share with others!
