8305 was the first aircraft that I ever crewed from 1980 to 85. It was a great aircraft and I was sad to learn that it would be retired to AMARC. She took care of me, getting me home everytime safe and sound.

I flew 66-8305 on my Aircraft Commander recommend ride in late June of 2003 while assigned to the 3AS at Dover. We were taking Marines out of Cherry Point to an exercise in Ascuncion, Paraguay. She took care of us well only deciding to break once (for three days) on what was supposed to be quick-turn through Rosey Roads, Puerto Rico. If you're going to break, you might as well be at a nice spot! Other than that, almost no write-ups the rest of the trip. Sad to see any C-5s sitting in the desert being slowly stripped away to nothing.
