I was one of the DCC's on this beauty from 2001-2004 when I was Active duty and McGuire AFB, NJ. She was the pride of the fleet. Always dependable and ready to go. She would take a beating and come back for more. I remember numberous times we would work all night on her to get her ready and just when they were about to call her down and out, she greened up and carried on with the mission. Most reliable bird I ever worked on. The best C-141 story I can think of is when I saw a fullyloaded starlifter backup with 2 T/R's loaded with cargo. She was an over-powered S.O.B. She was good for the military. RIP dearest Starlifter, i will never forget you.
