I CREWED 074 FROM JAN.`67 TO JAN.`69, GOOD AIRCRAFT. WE WERE THE 32ND TAC. RECON.SQ., OUT OF R.A.F. ALCONBURY, COMPRISING THE 10TH TAC. RECON. WING, ALONG WITH THE 1ST T.R.S. AND THE 30TH T.R.S. THE COLD WAR WAS IN FULL BLOOM,WE WOULD RUN N.A.T.O ALERTS QUITE A BIT. FOR SOME REASON COL. MAX SARGEN, OUR C.O. FAVORED 074. FOR A BRIEF TIME IN`67 WE WERE ALLOWED TO EMBELLISH OUR ACFT. WITH A NAME---I PROUDLY CHRISTEND 074 " KITCHEN SINK".074 AND I STOOD READY STANDBY ALONG WITH THE 1ST TAC. WAITING FOR PRESIDENTIAL ORDER DURING THE SIX DAY ISRAELI WAR. WE WERE VERY FORTUNATE AIRMAN TO DRAW SUCH GOOD DUTY IN THAT TIME PERIOD.
