I was assigned to the 4th ACCSq at Ellsworth from Jul 1970 to Jun 1971. I flew anumber of missions on 63-8051 as Looking Glass primary and back-up. One 8 hourmission became 16 hours as we could not get releived due to weather. All in all mytour at Ellsworth was great being in SAC. I left there going to Andrews AFB to fly

This was the best "C" model we had at Ellsworth, this jet spent a lot of time pulling alert back in the glory days of SAC, All the ECs we had at Ellsworth had booms but weren't their primary mission. It flew a lot of "Looking Glass" missions while i crewed it, we'd go TDY to Offutt and we'd fly out of there. it was a good time, i hated to see these planes end up in the boneyard.
