I was the dedicated crew chief on this aircraft in 2008. I have one photo I can find with my name on 7897. I took extreme care of 7897 through our deployment in 2008, to include our return. I still remember when we got back I assisted in washing the entire aircraft and cleaned the entire flight deck and cargo compartment. I had dubbed 7897 the "Spirit of Ohio" during my reign and put OSU buckeye memorabilia on the flight deck and job guide cabinet. Besides our extensive travels to Tiblisi, South West Asia, and throughout Europe we had a great MC rate. I don't ever remember having much difficulty maintenance wise as myself and my assistants took great care of 7897. I remember my great experiences on 7897, and others but 7897 was the only aircraft my name has been on, a great accomplishment that is heart felt for me. I worked my tail off to get my own aircraft and now since I have retrained 7897 is a memory that will always be with me. I am hoping to take a trip to DM maybe I will get to see her and maybe my name is still above the crew door. It was an honor to serve with you. TSgt J. Wander
