I worked on this aircraft when it was assigned to the 67 Special Operations Squadron at RAF Mildenhall, UK. It was our only "slick" C-130E, as all our other birds were MC-130P. It had -7 engines on it, and was low priority compared to the aircraft at Ramstein AB, Germany. During ISO inspection one year, they found three out of the four engines bad, so they removed ALL of them. It sat on the ramp for several months waiting on good engines to arrive. I believe the Dedicated Crew Chief's name was (then) SSgt. Pledger. He made the aircraft look really nice inside over those several months. That airplane was a workhorse when it was flying.
