this aircraft was last stationed at Ellsworth. It was the only L model we had, it came to us from Grisson in the late 80s. it had a modified interphone system known as the DAISS mod. the interphone was digital, it took a special interphone cord and was voice activated, two people couldn't talk at the same time, you had to wait until the other person finished talking before you could speak. the only good thing about the DAISS mod was that it filtered out the background noise.
