I was crew chief on this aircraft from about 1988 to 1994 at the 4950th TW WPAFB. During this period the aria equipment had been removed but the "hog" nose remained. The aircraft was used as a test bed aircraft. During my time with this aircraft it performed outstanding at all times. The aircraft's aria nose was removed and it was then transferd to Kirkland AFB for the laser program.

This aircraft was an original ARIA (Apollo Range Instrumented Aircraft) in 1967 at Patrick. It came from McGuire as a C-135 and never had a refueling boom on it.
