Contrary to George Murray I Crewed this aircraft for almost 20 years from the mid 70's to mid 90's when our unit received the R Model. Rickenbacker 160th received Balls 8 from the 301st in 1975. It was converted to an E Model in the early 80's. N. J. Guard had it for a short time then it went to California for a short time, got re-engined and was transferred to Pease to finish her time before going to the Boneyard. I miss Her!

I crewed this aircraft while stationed at Grand Forks AFB, ND from 1976 - 1979. She was assigned to the 319th Bombardment Wing (Heavy). This fine aircraft enabled me to see a lot of this world from Europe, the Middle East, to Asia, not to mention nearly every state with an Air Base during many Incentive Flights (aka Passion Runs).

Tons of memories...
