When retired, she was the oldest flying US Air Force aircraft. She saw work from Viet Nam to Afganistan and Iraq. She was turned over to the Navy in 1979. They used her as a drone launch platform out of Point Magu, CA. She was used in the OEF and OIF.

The acft was stationed at DM from '77-'79 with the 432 Tactical drone group, along with 4 other DC-130A's and 6 DC-130E's. I was an acft maint tech as an AMN and then an A1C with the 432 AGS durring this time. I worked on this and the others. The unit was deactivated in '79.
