152728 was in service with VP 23 as LJ 8 during the 70's. I was aboard the aircraft on patrol in the Mediteranean when it was struck by lightning 14 Feb., 1973. The strike hit the starboard wing tip bubbling and blackening the paint in the flap well, traveled through the fuselage and exited the port horizontal stabilizer leaving a hole on the top side. Noticing no visible damage at the time we completed our 10 hour patrol.
