152725 was assigned to VP 23 during the '70's as LJ 5. My most memorable experience in this plane was an aborted Mediterranean patrol on 23 Apr. '73. After approx. 7 hours on station we experienced a severe hydraulic leak and returned to Sigonella, Sicily. I lowered the ladder ( manually back in those days ) and was the first off to observe massive amounts of hydraulic fluid pouring from the tail section.
