I did two deployments with this a/c. I was once told that this A/C was hit by enemy fire during the Vietnam war. In the flight control closet there is a hole. You can see it from the inside of the A/C. This is where the bullet went through and killed the Crew Chief. The Pilot was also killed and the co-pilot was wounded. He was able to fly back to base. This story is in a book. But i cant remember which one it is. When i worked on this A/C I was proud and was sad to see her go. This was the first A/C i had ever worked on. She was a workhorse. The reason there is a tiger on the "Dog house" is cause we had two 46's in my det. One was painted with a Picture of Calvin and the tiger is supposed to be Hobbs, From the comis Calvin And Hobbs. This was Painted by Marc Solomon and James Power.
